This client had 2 dated bathrooms and an inefficient laundry room that wasn’t meeting her needs. One bathroom had a pedestal sink, which offered no storage and was too large for the space. The tub/shower was only used as a shower.
The two bathrooms shared a wall, so we wanted them to be unique, but still cohesive. The goal was to improve the counter space and storage in each. In the laundry room the client wanted folding space, a place for three laundry baskets and a hanging rod. We were able to give each room a distinct look with beautiful color and elevated finishes.
Once our demo had begun, we discovered that the original, old framing was sagging and unlevel so it needed to be fixed before installing expensive new finishes.
Because of the old, sagging framing, our carpentry team had to sister the joists and make sure they were up to code before we could begin tiling the floor.
Creating a solid foundation before installing new tile is an important step in a bath remodel.
Our client was open to ideas and liked our suggestions for adding color and patterns to the baths and laundry rooms.
We chose coastal navy blue for the cabinetry in this bath, added a pretty tall linen cabinet and a whimsical tile pattern. The gold accents complete the stylish look.
This bath was a bit more subdued in color but the shiplapped walls and picket tile in the shower give it a lot of charm.
