A cool place I stumbled upon right outside the Fremont Experience is The Downtown Container Park. It is a great development of stores and restaurant’s made out of shipping containers. It was such an awesome find and an interesting juxtaposition to the Vegas strip! I had some killer tacos and walked around marveling at all the clever repurposing of the containers used to create a hip and trendy locale for people to hang!
The stores and restaurant’s flanked a central courtyard complete with an adult activity area that incorporated recycled materials in keeping with the upcycling theme! At the back of the complex was a good-sized green space with an outdoor stage where a band was setting up to perform.
I’m so glad I came across such a great gem! This was definitely a highlight of the Vegas experience for me! It’s clever design was fresh and well thought out. Hopefully something like this will make it’s way to the Boston area some time soon!
